Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc is the premier, largest and most profitable, non-aligned Primary Mortgage Bank in Nigeria. Abbey is one of the seven national Primary Mortgage Banks (PMB) licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN). The recent recapitalization exercise saw the downsize from 105 mortgage banks to only 34 now surviving. We not only emerged successfully capitalized but one of the few that also met our National obligation as well as amongst the public liability companies.

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

About the Job

  • We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive the development, deployment, and automation of our core systems.
  • You will play a critical role in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment and testing.
  • Manage and optimize on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Nutanix, AWS, Azure) for scalability and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all environments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
  • Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to automation.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with On-premises and cloud platforms (e.g., Nutanix, AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Dev ops, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
