The Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri (FUAB) was established by an Executive Act of the Federal Government in April, 2023. It is a specialized University located in Bassambiri in the Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. It was created by the Federal Government as part of its mandate to have a University of Agriculture in each of the six geo-political zones of the country. FUAB links teaching and research to the Niger Delta’s rich agricultural and marine resources. Academic activities commence in the 2025/2026 session with a student-centred, hands-on learning model aligned to NUC standards.

Job Title: Reader

Requirements

Ph.D. Degree in the appropriate discipline, with nine (9) years of unbroken teaching and research experience in a University system or cognate exposure with demonstrable evidence of scholarly achievement and Twenty-one (21) scholarly publications.
Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. Degree in the appropriate discipline with at least Twelve (12) years of unbroken teaching and research experience in a University system.
Candidates must have at least Twenty-eight (28) scholarly publications in both local and international journal, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.

Job Title: Associate Professor

Requirements
