Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA) was founded in 2015 as a premier provider of technical consulting services for the food industry. Over the years, our expertise has expanded to support a diverse range of stakeholders, including philanthropic organizations, investors, and international development partners.

Our Managing Partner, Vivian Maduekeh is a seasoned Senior Management Consultant with expertise in international development, food systems, global health, and philanthropy. As Managing Partner at Food Health Systems Advisory, she leads the team in providing clients with strategic advisory and technical services. She recently led food systems, climate, and health initiatives at a Global Alliance of 25+ philanthropic foundations with a collective endowment of $40 billion. Past work experiences include the World Health Organization, Hygeia HMO, a UK Department for International Development health project, and Rivers Vegetable Oil Company. Additionally, she serves on the board of the Lagos Food Bank, Feedback UK, and is a Senior Food Security Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Job Title: Sales and Partnerships Associate

Job Description

• FHSA is looking for a dynamic Sales and Partnerships Associate to support our business development efforts, acquire new clients for our technical services, and drive revenue growth.
• This role requires a proactive professional with strong networking and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of Africa’s food industry, and a passion for scaling innovative solutions. 
• The ideal candidate will contribute to FHSA’s vision of enabling sustainable food systems by engaging key private-sector stakeholders and securing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Develop proposals and pitches tailored to prospective clients’ needs.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential clients.

Strategic Engagement & Representation:

• Represent FHSA at industry conferences, exhibitions, activations, networking events, and stakeholder meetings.
• Support thought leadership initiatives through reports, articles, and presentations.

Partnerships & Relationship Management:

• Build relationships with key stakeholders in food companies, and industry associations.
• Manage service delivery and maintain high client satisfaction.
• Develop and deploy cross-sell and upsell strategies to deepen client engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Agribusiness, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Africa’s food industry and landscape. 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently, think strategically, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or a related field.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing strategic partnerships.
