Technical Operator - Blending at Monument Distillers Nigeria Limited (MDN)


Monument Distillers Nigeria Limited (MDN) launched in Nigeria in March 2019 with the acquisition of the 1960 Rootz Bitters brand and the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, moving Rootz’ production facility to Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Technical Operator - Blending

Location: Lagos

Description 
The candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities: 

  • Perform quality analysis and ensure process quality and productivity are achieved on your shift. 
  • Implement and comply with the company’s safety, health & environment and procedures. 
  • Monitor & control production processes on shift using the correct tools as per the MDN standards (OWS, 5S, etc) 
  • Interpret and implement production plan for shift. 
  • Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends. 
  • Maintain safety & housekeeping standards 
  • Use escalation procedures to ensure that the time to react is reduced. 
  • Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace, operate and control the MDN blending process according to the SOPs www.nigeria.monumentdistillers.com 

Qualification & Experience 

  • Minimum of OND from any reputable institution. 
  • Technical / Trade Certificate related to technical operations. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of blending experience in the FMCG industry. 
  • Knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment and processes according to specifications and standard operating procedures. 
  • Good Communication skills 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills 
  • Analytical & Detail Oriented 
  • Problem-Solving Skills 
  • Good Time Management Skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative with own with confidence, using judgment to escalate when necessary. 
  • Ability to spot improvement opportunities fast
