UI / UX Designer in a Software Development Firm (Remote)

We are a Software Development firm in Nigeria, currently embarking on a digital transformation program for a leading public sector organization in Nigeria. The initiative involves the design and implementation of multiple enterprise management platforms to modernize critical operations and improve efficiency, accountability, and compliance.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: UI / UX Designer

Location: Remote / Hybrid
Employment Type: Contract, 6 Months

Summary

• We are looking for skilled UI/UX Designers to play a key role in shaping the user experience and visual design of these systems. Designers will work closely with Business Analysts, stakeholders, and developers to create intuitive, accessible, and scalable designs, supported by a shared design system.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and discovery workshops alongside BAs.
• Ensure UI/UX solutions meet accessibility, usability, and responsiveness standards.
• Iterate quickly based on stakeholder and user feedback during sprint reviews.
• Document design guidelines and deliverables for handover.
• Translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Contribute to and maintain a shared design system (Shadcn + Tailwind).
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth design-to-code handoff.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 4–6+ years as a UI/UX Designer, with enterprise or public sector project exposure preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Figma and modern design systems.
• Soft Skills: Strong communicator, collaborative team player, ability to manage competing design priorities.
• Availability: Must be available full-time.
• Strong grasp of user-centered design and accessibility principles.
• Experience working with frontend frameworks (Next.js, TailwindCSS) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
