Job Summary
- The Warehouse Officer / Materials Handler is responsible for the effective management of oilfield spares, project materials, and equipment within the EPCIC warehouse environment.
- The role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and strict adherence to safety and quality procedures.
- The incumbent must be computer literate and capable of using ERP and warehouse management systems to maintain accurate material records and support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming oilfield spares, consumables, and project materials against purchase orders and specifications.
- Record all transactions accurately using the company’s ERP/Warehouse Management System (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle).
- Maintain organized storage areas with proper labelling, tagging, and segregation of materials
- Conduct periodic stock counts, reconcile variances, and report discrepancies promptly.
- Manage material transfers between warehouses, fabrication yards, and offshore locations.
- Generate reports such as stock status, material movement, and usage summaries.
- Maintain all material-related documentation in digital and physical formats for easy retrieval.
- Assist in preparing audit documentation and respond to internal or client audit queries.
- Prepare material issue requests, delivery notes, and packing lists
- Support mobilization and demobilization of materials for offshore and onshore projects.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to track incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to company HSE standards and promote safe work practices in the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with material handling and preservation procedures.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and mandatory HSE training session.
- Identify and handle a wide variety of oilfield spares including valves, flanges, fittings, pumps, compressors, electrical and instrumentation components.
- Verify part numbers, materials, and certificates to ensure compliance with project and client specifications.
- Apply correct storage and preservation techniques to prevent material degradation.
- Maintain traceability of serialized and project-critical equipment.
- Update inventory records, goods receipts, and issue notes in the ERP system.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in warehouse/materials handling within EPCIC or oil & gas operations.
