Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled Baker who will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of desserts, pastries, and bread.
• In this position, you will be expected to follow recipes, measure and mix ingredients, and decorate and present final products. Your role will also include maintaining inventory and ensuring that all baked goods are of high quality and meet customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
• Operate baking equipment and machinery.
• Train and supervise assistant bakers and other bakery staff.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new baking techniques.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Ensure all baked goods are of high quality and meet customer expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and work area.
• Order and maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies.

Qualifications and Skill Set

• Certificate or Diploma in Baking or Pastry Arts.
• 3 - 5 years work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use baking tools and equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Creativity and willingness to learn new recipes and techniques.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proven experience as a baker.
• Knowledge of baking techniques and methods.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Understanding of food safety practices.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
