ZARA & FARA - Event and wedding planning duo, known primarily via their Instagram brand. They focus on local and destination weddings, offering full-service planning including décor, coordination, and vendor management.

Wedding Planning & Coordination: Full or partial planning services with emphasis on bringing your vision to life. Decor & Styling: Likely including floral arrangements, venue setup, thematic design, ambience, etc. Vendor Sourcing & Management: Handling caterers, photographers, makeup artists, entertainment, etc.

Job Title: Event Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Manager to plan, execute, and oversee company events, ensuring they align with business goals and deliver memorable experiences.
• The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proven track record in event planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage end-to-end logistics for all events (corporate events, product launches, promotional activities, sponsorships, etc.).
• Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, sales, product, HR) to align event goals with business objectives.
• Coordinate with vendors, speakers, sponsors, and third-party partners.
• Track and evaluate event performance and provide post-event reports with insights and recommendations.
• Manage risk and crisis situations during events effectively.
• Supervise event staff and assign tasks as needed.
• Manage budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure cost-efficiency.
• Handle venue selection, permits, catering, AV setup, guest coordination, etc.
• Create event timelines and manage on-site execution to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in event planning/management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite).
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure with tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience in managing high-profile events or working in the [insert industry] sector.
• Familiarity with digital and hybrid event formats.

Salary
N250,000 - N350,000 / month.
