Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe  - The Governing Council of the College wishes to commence the process for the appointment of suitable and qualified candidates to occupy the position below:       Job Title: Registrar Location: Anambra Job Description

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day general administration of the College.
  • The Registrar is also Secretary to the Council, and to the Academic Board.
Requirements
  • The candidate for this post must possess a good honours degree from a recognised University in any of the Social Sciences/Arts subjects with at least twenty-one years cognate experience; or Master’s degree from a recognised institution of higher learning with at least 18 years cognate experience or a Doctorate degree with at least 15 years cognate experience and must have attained the rank of Deputy Registrar.
  • Candidates above 55 years need not apply.
  • Evidence of attendance of a continuous mandatory professional & development course is required.
  • The candidate must also be a current member of a recognised professional body and must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
Conditions of Service
  • The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable the post of Registrar in Colleges of Education and as may be determined from time to time by the Government’ Governing Council of the College.
        Job Title: Bursar  Location: Anambra Job Description
  • The Bursar is the Chief Finance Officer of the College and is directly responsible to the Provost for the management and control of the finances of the College.
  • He/she shall advise the Provost on finance related matters, coordinate the development and update the College financial management plans, coordinate the preparation of periodic income and expenditure statements, balance sheet, cash flow estimates etc.
Requirements
  • The candidate for the post of Bursar must possess a good honours degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Economics, Finance or any related discipline from a recognised University/higher institution with at least twenty-one years cognate experience. Possession of higher degree(s) will be an added advantage.
  • The applicant must possess any of the following professionally recognised accountancy qualifications e.g CNA/ACA. The candidate is also expected not be below the rank of Deputy Bursar.
  • Candidate should also be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant and have a working knowledge of a good accounting packages.
  • Candidates above 55 years need not apply.

          Job Title: College Librarian   Location: Anambra Job Description
  • The College Librarian is responsible to the Provost for the overall administration and coordination of the College Library, its branches in the Schools and Departments as well as providing servicesfor the entire Coltege Community.
  • The Librarian is a specialized academic whose primary duties involve serving the information needs of students and staff. This position typically involves coordinating the duties of many Librarians and library staff to ensure adequate access to library resources for those who enroll in and teach courses.
  • The successful candidate will be required to administer and develop the College Library, Schools and Departmental Libraries to meet the College increasing needs for the students and staff. He should prepare library budget.
Requirements
  • The candidate for the post of Librarian must possess MLS with a minimum of eighteen (18) years cognate experience.
  • The candidate is also expected not to be below the rank of Deputy Librarian, have scholarly publications equivalent to that of Chief Lecture in reputable journals, be a member of Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria, Nigeria Library Association and be computer literate.
  • The candidate should not be more than 60 years at the time of appointment.
