Job Title: Sales Representative

Location: Lagos and East Nigeria (Port Harcourt, Aba - Abia, Enugu, Onitsha - Anambra)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify prospective customers
  • Present, promote and sell products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads
  • Generating sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients
  • Negotiating contracts with prospective clients, and providing adequate quotations and proposals
  • Accelerate the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve targets and outcomes within scheduled timeframe
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products
  • Maintaining client records
  • Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Analyse the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Keeping track of outstanding balances and scheduled collection
  • Keeping track of customers’ statements
  • Stay up-to-date for best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Understanding and promoting company programs

Qualification, skill and experience

  • A good University Degree in any discipline
  • Good interpersonal skill
  • Good customer service and sales skill
  • Ability to travel and flexible mobility.
  • 2-3 years work experience as a sales representative with Cosmetic/Detergent/Oil & Gas/Pharma & Food Grade chemical industry.
  • Strong communication skill
